It has been very educating to work fulltime as a Game Designer, and I feel that I have learn a LOT. Not only regarding game design as a process, but also the importance of team-roles, and the importance focus/vision. I would like to thank the entire team for their efforts, it has been a huge pleasure working so close together with such dedicated people.
I think we manged to get very close to most of the points in our vision, and mainly to get a very simple gameplay that was very challenging, scalable and finally very polished.
If you would like to take a look at our final vision read on:
Our vision with A Mazing Monk was from the beginning to produce a small compact game, with a high production value. We wanted to produce a finished game in a month with a gaming experience where the gameplay, the visual style, animation, effects, sound and music reach a higher unity thus leaving the player wanting more. A game which takes 10‐15 minutes to complete. The vision was also to make a game with clear feedback about what the player is supposed to do in the game and with lots of payoffs when you do it. It was a part of the vision to create a universe with a cultural edge which isn’t forced but seems light and appealing. Finally we wanted a game concept with a unique gameplay that made the game fun and innovative.
